Setting for the band

Here we have a bunch of pictures which we took during our day of filming the band. The weather was exactly as as the forcast said it would be. I arrived in at 8' clock to get everything cleared out of the area such as pallets and big sheets of timber ready for Jessie to arrive with all the equipment. Donvavon the owner of the barn was a massive help as not only letting us use his property helped us clear everything with his fork lift. The pictures below show the equipment we had and and where we set them all up. Overall the the long day was worth the work as the footage which we got is great and especially the use of artificial lighting is fantastic which we wouldn't have got the knowledge of it we didn't go to lighting workshop.

Choice of band members

Band members

Lewis Mcnemee (Bassist): Lewis is currently studying his A-levels. Alongside studying he is currently self teaching him self to play the Bass guitar. He enjoys listening to bands such as Greenday, Bowling For Soup, Fall Out Boy and many more which all lie within our chosen genre. Lewis has always had plans of forming a band but just hasn't got round to doing so, so we have given him the opportunity to perform and be on camera.

Lily Pearson (Drummer): Lily is an A2 student who loves to have fun with her friends and family. She loves partying but also seperates her school life to here family life. Lily plays the drums and listens to artists such as Newton Faulkner, Kodaline, Muse and many more. Muse is a band which has been inspired by many different artists of the Punk Rock genre.

Lily is our drummer. We decided to subvert the stereotype of all male rock band and since the main masculine roll of a band is the drummer we thought it would be a good idea to have a female drummer. In most band music videos the drummer doesnt get much of the spot light as it is normally the lead vocalist but we will want to make the video have a live music feel to it so we will be having shots of each member of the band and the drummer especially to show live music.

Oliver Trivet (Lead guitarist and vocals/ Lead role): Oliver is a sixth form student who spends most of his time learning riff's and songs in his bedroom on his guitar. Oliver enjoys listening to a variety of bands such as Metalica, Alexisonfire, Mumford and Sons, Bastille, Greenday, Biffy Clyro and many more. He plays both electric and acoustic and can learn anything if he puts the effort in. Oliver's dream is to be in a rock band so we decided to make his dream come true and give him the spotlight in both the band and the narrative of the music video. His general character and appearance make him perfect for our video.

Filming the band

After filming, we decided to put together a video of setting up the equipment for the band. The filming was a great success as we got everything we wanted. We waited until the natural light was dark as we just wanted to room to be light up by the lights which we were using.

Pictures from the filming of the band

Filming the band was so much fun but it took a long while as we didn't finish until 10:30 at night. Here are some pictures of the day. Also me and Jessie were deciding on what colour of lighting we should use which finally decided on was red which we would use to light up the drummer.
